To what degree are you patriotic? How do you express your patriotism?
Joanne's FAVORITE answer:
Do you mean the New England Patriots???
Joanne's answer:
I'd say I'm pretty patriotic. I love my country, I love to sing the national anthem (even if I do almost *always* get to baseball games too late to sing along), I feel pride whenever I see our flag, and I don't like it when people talk shit about the US. How do I express it? I probably don't do all that much....other than wearing red, white & blue on the 4th of July. Oh, and I vote in every election. AND I won an essay contest in 6th grade for an essay about "What it means to be an American"! I won $50, even!! =)
And the other answers!
I feel that I am patriotic. To what degree?, I would have to say above average. I know that there are many people out there who could say that they are more patriotic than me, but I feel that I stand up for those fighting for us, and I support them, even if I don't always believe 100% in why they are fighting. To me it does not matter why they are there, or how they got there, once our soldiers are placed in danger. What matters to me is getting every one of them back safely home. I know that is not possible, but that is how I feel. I salute the flag, I remember those that died so I could live in a free country, and I pray for their safe return and the hope of peace. I also stand up for the right of everyone to be able to say openly how they feel about what is happening, no matter how they feel. Remember, that is one of our rights. To me, all of this is what makes me patriotic.
Degree??? I'm a Patriot, I know that. I've lived around this country and in a foreign country and I can tell you that we live in THE best country in the world! When I came back from 2 years in Japan I spoke to everyone I knew, and even some I didn't, about how lucky we are here in US. I express my Patriotism by talking about it.
I go to Indians Casinos and try to win big!!
I am very patriotic. I express it by voting republican of course.
I don't really express patriotism unless someone gets me going bysaying something unpatriotic that I disagree with. Not too exciting.
