What is your favorite scent? Why do you like it?

Joanne's FAVORITE answer:
The new CD from fifty scent!!!

Joanne's answer:
OMG I totally love the smell of men's cologne.....ESPECIALLY Obsession for Men Cologne. One of my first boyfriends from high school used to wear it and - not give you way too much information but - we had really good "chemistry". I don't necessarily think the scent remind of me the GUY per se - but due the fabulous magic of classical conditioning, it does definitely produce somewhat of a physiological response!! I can barely concentrate when I am anywhere near anyone who is wearing it!

And the other answers!

Turkey as it cooks in the oven is my favorite. And I like it because I know I am about to have a feast and then have my self a nice nap.

I looooove the smell of breasts in my face.

My favorite scents are garlic frying in olive oil and freshly cooked "sticky" rice. They remind me of my what my mom's cooking. So, whenever I smell those things it brings me back to that. I also live the smell of jasmine. And, you gotta love the "baby smell" ...no, not the bad one, the good one - the fresh baby powder one.

The scent of the ocean - it completes me!

I have more than one favorite scent, but since the question is originating from Southern California, I will name one from that area. Every spring the orange blossoms bloom, and I am overwhelmed by the intensity of that smell. For some, the smell is overpowering, but I really like it. There used to be more orange groves in Riverside and the smell would travel for miles, but now there aren't that many groves and you have to drive down the 91 towards the Magnolia exit to get close to the trees when they are in bloom. I still love that smell though.

I like the smell of the forest. I always used to play in the leaves and among the trees as a kid. I always felt so good in the muted sound of the dark shadows of the trees. I love to hike and walk in the woods. Funny thing is, with the diseases mosquitoes and ticks can give you these days the forest isn't even safe anymore unless the predominant smell is "deep woods off". Sad world we live in....

The ocean... and i don't mean the smell of rottingfish or stale seaweed, but the subtly salty, moist airthat is cool on your face. I love living close to the beach so I can get the seabreezes (which is why I never even once considered moving to Riverside whileat school there...) and the refreshing scent. It caninstantly relax me... that and the smell of an In-N-Out Burger... mmmmmm, In-N-Out burgers......

Hmmm…….I am really funny about scents. They end up way to the back of my nose and down my throat. So about this time the strength of them about makes me want to vomit despite any type of nice fragrance they might have about themselves. I would have to say the scent that is the LEAST offensive to me must be the smell of my own body. NOT my own body odor – anyone’s would be offensive – good Lord have you been on some of those French flights?!?! I mean the scent of my own body – the scent that is unique to each of us. It must be the least offensive to me as I don’t seem to want to vomit and I must be smelling it all the time as it is always there. Other than that – fresh baked bread is good even those soft garlic, sticks from Olive Garden. Dip one of those in some Alfredo sauce. YUM! The smell of summer is always pleasant. Then of course lobster is a given – just to know that any moment a savory taste of it will be in your mouth. Steamers are fabulous too – course that reason is the same as lobster.
But I would have to say the best smell: When my son was a baby and after washing him in the tub the smell of his hair after washing it with Johnson and Johnson lavender baby wash. Squeeeeeeeeky clean!

My favorite scent is the smell a dryer makes while doing its job. It just seems so clean and fresh (unlike the clothes before they make it to the washer and dryer).
